Key Responsibilities

Partner with business stakeholders across various departments (e.g., refining, marketing, retail) to understand their data needs and objectives.
Collect data from various sources, including internal databases, operational systems, and market research reports.
Clean, organize, and prepare data for analysis using appropriate tools and techniques (e.g., data wrangling, data cleansing).
Perform statistical analysis and modeling to identify trends, patterns, and correlations in data related to sales, inventory, operations, and other relevant areas.
Develop clear and concise data visualizations (charts, graphs, dashboards) to communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Write data analysis reports and present findings to stakeholders, tailoring communication to different audiences.
Stay up-to-date on data analysis best practices and emerging technologies in the oil and gas industry.
Assist with the development and implementation of data management strategies to ensure data quality and accessibility.
Perform other data-related tasks as assigned, such as data mining or creating data pipelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a data analysis role (preferred).
Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Excel). Knowledge of domain-specific tools used in the oil and gas industry (a plus).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and translate complex data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Knowledge of oil and gas industry terminology (a plus).

Experience

This role is ideal for candidates with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a data analysis role. We are also open to applications from recent graduates with a strong academic background in data science, statistics, or a related field, and a demonstrable interest in the energy sector.
