Summary

We are searching for a highly motivated and analytical Internal Auditor to join our growing team. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive internal audits across various departments and business units. Your responsibilities will encompass risk assessment, control testing, reporting, and providing recommendations to management to strengthen the bank's internal controls and risk mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive internal audit plans, aligned with the bank's overall risk management framework.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify key areas of risk within the bank's operations, financial processes, and controls.
• Perform detailed testing of internal controls to ensure their adequacy, effectiveness, and compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Analyze audit findings, identify potential weaknesses or control deficiencies, and document observations and recommendations in clear and concise reports.
• Collaborate with management to develop and implement corrective action plans to address identified control deficiencies and mitigate risks.
• Stay up-to-date on evolving regulations, accounting standards, and best practices in internal auditing.
• Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including management, audit committees, and the board of directors.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with a professional accounting designation (CPA, ACA, or equivalent) (or) proven experience in internal auditing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and assess risks within complex financial systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality in all aspects of work.
• Proven experience in conducting internal audits, using audit methodologies and tools.
• Strong understanding of internal control frameworks (COSO) and risk management principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and audit software (a plus).

Experience

This role is a great fit for qualified auditors with 2-5 years of experience in internal auditing, public accounting, or a related field.
