Summary

As a System Administrator at Tech Mahindra, you'll be the backbone of our IT infrastructure, ensuring its smooth operation and optimal performance. You'll work collaboratively with various teams across the organization, maintaining a reliable and secure network environment that empowers our workforce and facilitates business continuity.

Your responsibilities will encompass a range of technical tasks, from installing and configuring hardware and software to troubleshooting system issues and implementing security measures. You'll be a master of organization, adept at prioritizing tasks, managing resources, and ensuring adherence to best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain network servers, desktops, and other IT infrastructure components.
• Manage user accounts and access permissions, ensuring data security and integrity.
• Perform routine system backups and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard critical data.
• Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and troubleshoot problems proactively.
• Implement and maintain essential security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
• Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and industry best practices, continuously improving your skillset.
• Provide technical support to internal users, resolving their IT-related issues efficiently.
• Document system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and other technical processes.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including developers, network engineers, and IT support personnel.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (For freshers, strong academic performance in technical subjects and a demonstrably eager attitude to learn will be considered).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in system administration or a related IT role (For freshers, relevant IT internships or certifications can be considered).
• Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems, with a strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, etc.).
• Experience with server administration tools and technologies (e.g., Active Directory, VMware, etc.) is a strong plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• A commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of evolving technologies in the IT landscape.

Experience

This role is open to both experienced system administrators and enthusiastic fresh graduates. For experienced professionals, a minimum of 1 year of demonstrably successful experience in system administration is preferred. However, highly motivated recent graduates with a strong academic background in IT, a passion for learning, and a demonstrably eager attitude will also be considered.
